Akbar's mother informs Jodha that Kedar has recovered now and adds that Akbar has ordered for Saleem to be brought back into the kingdom. Jodha gets excited hearing this news and she decides to prepare her son's favourite dishes to welcome him. Later, Saleem enters the kingdom on a horse and he is welcomed in a grand manner. Saleem on the other hand is extremely upset with her mother as she had not come to meet him even once. Jodha does the 'aarti' for her son and welcomes him with open arms, but Saleem ignores his mother and hugs everybody else. Akbar keenly observes the reactions of his son and later Saleem goes on to ignore even Akbar. Jodha feels upset to see her son ignoring her and Akbar asks her to talk to Saleem about this matter.
